Our Flue Gas Treatment team is actively working with partners to beneficiate process residues from our hydrated lime and Sorbacal® customers’ air pollution control systems.
Each customer’s residue is chemically unique and is individually evaluated. Lhoist's new business development laboratory in Irving, Texas supports these efforts through detailed chemical analyses of residue streams, facilitating identification of potential beneficial reuse applications.
Our third party partners work with us and end users to reuse residues in a variety of applications, from agricultural to building products. Air pollution control residues have been landfilled for many years, finding various beneficial reuses is a key focus in our sustainability journey.
